LeMaster Law Firm in Tomball, Texas

Jennifer LeMaster’s legal career exemplifies how strategic career decisions and a commitment to personal fulfillment can lead to remarkable professional growth. The Tomball-area native has transformed her personal injury law practice from a solo home-based operation into a thriving firm, and she’s now bringing her business back to its roots in her hometown.

A Non-Traditional Path to Success

LeMaster’s journey to founding her own firm was unconventional. Born and raised in Spring, she graduated from Tomball’s Concordia Lutheran High School before earning her Bachelor of Science degree (magna cum laude) and Doctor of Juris Prudence (cum laude) from the University of Houston. After law school, she worked at a Houston-based litigation boutique, briefly served as in-house counsel for an oil and gas company, and eventually achieved partner status at an international law firm. By conventional standards, making partner should have represented the pinnacle of her legal career.

However, LeMaster discovered that traditional success didn’t translate to personal happiness. Despite her professional achievements, she felt unfulfilled and struggled to balance her career ambitions with her desire to be present as a mother. Recognizing that something needed to change, she made a bold decision: she took a year-long sabbatical to reassess her priorities and determine what true professional satisfaction would look like.

Finding Purpose and Direction

Just six months into her sabbatical, LeMaster had achieved clarity. She knew exactly what she wanted: to practice law independently, select her own clients, and dedicate herself to helping people rather than pursuing accolades and prestige. Most importantly, she wanted to build her practice in Tomball, the area where she maintained deep roots and personal connections.

In 2017, the LeMaster Law Firm was born. What began as a solo operation from a home office quickly gained momentum. Within less than a decade, the firm had grown to include four full-time employees and had outgrown its leased office space in The Woodlands. This rapid expansion necessitated finding a new, permanent home for the business.

Strategic Growth and Tomball’s Appeal

LeMaster approached her firm’s relocation with the same methodical thinking that characterizes her legal practice. She created a comprehensive spreadsheet to analyze different suburban Houston communities where her firm might relocate. Tomball consistently emerged as the optimal choice. With 22 years of experience practicing law in the Houston area, LeMaster recognized Tomball’s strategic advantages: excellent accessibility via State Highway 99 (The Grand Parkway) and State Highway 249 (The Tomball Parkway), and a central location within suburban Houston’s landscape.

After identifying Tomball as her firm’s permanent home, LeMaster searched through numerous properties in search of the perfect “gem.” She found it: a 70-year-old, 2,000-square-foot vintage home located just off Main Street. The moment she and her team walked through the property, they knew it was exactly what they needed.

Creating a Community-Focused Workspace

Rather than simply converting the space into a standard office, LeMaster is thoughtfully renovating the three-bedroom home at 203 Raymond Street while preserving its vintage character through careful wallpaper selections and antique furnishings. The renovation will include six offices and two bathrooms. The classic aesthetic aligns perfectly with LeMaster’s philosophy of treating clients like family and creating a warm, welcoming environment that reflects the opposite of impersonal mega-firms.

The new office provides space to grow and room for community collaboration. With six offices for four current employees, LeMaster has capacity for expansion, and she plans to lease additional space to other professional businesses while using the property to host events for women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. This collaborative vision reflects her commitment to Tomball’s business community and her appreciation for the support she received from the Tomball Economic Development Corporation (TEDC).

Full Circle

From a home office operating solo in 2017 to owning a vintage building that will serve multiple businesses and host community events, LeMaster’s trajectory represents more than business success. It demonstrates the value of prioritizing personal fulfillment, making intentional decisions about work-life balance, and remaining committed to one’s community. For LeMaster, returning to Tomball wasn’t just a smart business decision—it was homecoming, allowing her to build the life and legal practice she always envisioned.
